Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs

Got a real delicacy for you this fine afternoon. These dinosaurs are from the UK. Their name is kind of awesome but also seems to try a little too hard. Probably because they're British (haha). Read all about it here. Listening to these jams really gives me new hope for electro. Make sure to have a totally enormous lunch to go along with these totally enormous jams.
Watch this nice hip little promo vid to get a taste of their vibes:

Try out this fresh new track (came out last month I believe), really chill, strong vibes of floating and underwater bubbles. Bleeps and bloops (also some cool percussion sound that I really like) are top notch with a rich sounding bass keeping the harmony flowin.
Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs - Garden by LunchJams
Here is a nice remix that I like because it has these elements of a great vocal remix banger:
-interesting, well mixed drums that dont drive you nuts
-nice vocal work with well placed remixing/chopping up + effects adding
-ambient/atmospheric washed out sounding synth/keys pads
-that tough bass lead that keeps rocking and dont get old too fast

These are some older tracks from these very old dinosaurs that you may check out if you are in an electro mood:

Hyper Crush

Hyper Crush is a relatively new and unknown group from Los Angeles, but thats not to take away from their sweet sound. In my opinion, they have a very LMFAO-ish influence but let the bass kick super hard in many of their tracks. Composed of a rapper, a female vocalist and a DJ/ Keytarist, they have put together some dank tracks as well as some super sweet remixes. The first song is a Tony Arzadon mix of their track Keep Up which certainly should be a club jam if it isn't already. The second, is their remix of La Roux's Bulletproof, personally my favorite mix of the song, definately a must download. Thirdly is a song off their album The Arcade, titled She's a Freak, and what more is there to say other than its another one of their songs that continues to impress me; what with the upbeat tempo, heavy bass, autotuned robotic voice in the chorus and the not too shabby flow in the verse.

also some other jams i recommend checking out include:
I Made It (Hyper Crush Remix)
Diskotron
Over (Hyper Crush Remix)

Arty

Arty, also known as Alpha 9, is emerging as one of the more noteworthy progressive trance producers. I think this is his site, however it is in Russian. Lots of cool noises in these tracks and overall slick production. The first track demonstrates how a skilled producer can turn a simple riff into the meat of an excellent track. A very trancy layered piano bridge provides additional flavor and texture to this offering. Enjoy the other remixes, I also recommend:
Arty - Vanilla Sky
Arty - Hope
Alpha 9 - Come Home

Eeeek a Mau5!

So while being up close to Canada at Priest Lake in Idaho, I decided that this post seemed appropriate. This man is a Canadian legend and his name is Joel Zimmerman aka Deadmau5 and he has been blowing up the industry the past few years. His fresh take on the old school deep bass beat has kept us all jamming for a while. I've seen him a few times, once in Dallas and then again at EDC this year and he has yet to disappoint. Check out these jams on your lunch break; both are from his At Play album which is one of my favorites after For Lack of a Better Name. Vanishing Point is a mellow progressive beat that kicks off the album and simply put, sets the mood for an awesome cd. And then secondly, probably my favorite track on this album is Dr. Frankenstein, which honestly bumps so hard you can't help but appreciate it. So take a listen, and if you like them feel free to grab them from the little arrow up top.

Sincerely Yours,

The Gooneybird

v1r00z?

This guy is from Poland. Aside from having a really strange and ridiculous dj name, he makes really jammed up dance remixes and songs with a strong euro feel.
It is said best on his own spiffy personal website:
"v1r00z - under this nick there is 21-years old music producer and remixer from Cracow (Poland) .His adventure with music has started in his childhood. For 3 years He was learning in Music School and in the age of 11 he had his first coctact with a music software .Worked only on a PC and an old Hi-Fi He made over 50 songs and it looks like he's not going to stop."
Word.
The first track is my favorite of his, the full bodied main synth line is powerful yet still incredibly smooth sounding.

Breakbot Baby

Breakbot is a french dude with a lot of funk to spread. He's an electronic artist, but makes really nice funky soulful jams that sound like beefed up old school tracks. Jams with some laidback flow with just enough funk and edge to spice it up. The first track is pretty new, really nice chill track.
Breakbot - Baby I'm yours feat. IRFANE by LunchJams
Next we got an amped up of version of this track, by Color Blaster, two more French dudes who are pretty unknown right now. Starts funky and chopped up a little, builds into a full sounding banger. word.
Breakbot - Baby I'm Yours (Color Blaster remix) by LunchJams
Rounding it out we take it back down to the chill end with this smooth as hell production. Oh yeah.

Ocelot

This is Ocelot. Check them out here. Haven't heard them before but they have a cool style. They claim to bring 'all the fun of trance, without all that trance.' Hmmm.
This first track is a finely constructed item consisting of many complimentary layers of flowing synth lines and finely diced vocals. When that choppy, percussive synth line comes in about 30 seconds in, you know its gonna be a jam. The layers build up, keeping the noises interesting, and the vocals are edited to great effect, matching the character of the initial synth I was talking about. Detecting some Daft Punk Aerodynamic in there. Anyways, the use of those powerful sounding kicks and snares and snares to create the build ups really rounds out the track nicely.
Robyn - Be Mine (Ocelot Remix) by LunchJams
Next we have something a bit more mellow. The track rides on this nicely toned arpeggio that changes its intensity throughout the song to create a little tension. Later on, more bass is added to give a fuller sound. The vocals and lyrics retain their importance quite nicely in this remix.

A Little Afrojack

Whether you have or haven't heard any of Afrojack's bumpin' tracks, these two are some of my favorites, the first one dropped at EDC in LA hits super hard and then reverts back to a mellow catchy verse, definitely a sweet jam to get your head bangin during the lunch hour; as for the second track, it is an awesome record that includes everything from a dirty xylophone-esque tune to a grungy synth beat, both jams worth adding to your arsenal.

Ellie Goulding Dubstep Sandwich

For some reason Ellie Goulding's tracks sound really great with a lot of dubstep all over them. Kind of like how salmon is great on a bagel or how prosciutto is perfect in a panini. This first track has received quite a bit of attention already, and rightly so. It drops really hard with that rough bass and everyone should go nuts.
Ellie Goulding - Starry Eyed (Jakwob Remix) by LunchJams
I stumbled upon this next track the other day. It a little lighter than the starry eyed mix. Got a little more atmospheric vibe, but still keeps the beat going with enough intensity to stay interesting. Flows around in a dreamy way. I like it.

Bag Raiders and Knightlife

For the first round of lunch we have two great groups from Australia bringing some polished tracks to the table.

Bag Raiders:
The stand out is definitely Shooting Stars. What a nice uplifting track.
Bag Raiders - Shooting Stars (ft. Rhys of 'Ted & Francis') by LunchJams
The synth noise is great for the ears and the bass creates a nice pulsing groove. The vocals round it out nicely. Great potential in this track, deserves to be a mega hit!
Also check out the Fun Punch EP: Fun Punch followed by The Punch (reprise) is a great listening experience to make your life feel like a video game or 80's action movie.
These guys have some good remixes too. Check out this remix of Cut Copy:
Cut Copy - Far Away (Bag Raiders Remix) by LunchJams
Now that's some smooth producing!

Knightlife:
Discotirso is a really nice house track.
